School Counselor for F–6 School (20 %)

About the Position

We are looking for an engaged and relationship-building school counselor for our primary school, from preschool class to grade 6. The position is 20% and is suitable for those who want to work closely with students, guardians, and staff, focusing on students' well-being and their right to a safe school environment.

Your Responsibilities

As a school counselor, you will be part of the school's student health team and work preventively, promotively, and remedially. Your duties include:

• providing supportive and motivational conversations with students
• contributing to the school's equal treatment efforts and safety issues
• working consultatively by guiding educators and other professionals in the school
• collaborating with guardians and staff
• participating in the student health team's work and planning
• assisting in assessments and intervention work when special support is needed
• cooperating with external actors such as social services and child and adolescent psychiatric services when necessary

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is a trained social worker or has equivalent relevant education
• has experience working with children and youth
• has a good ability to build trusting relationships
• is independent, structured, and has good collaboration skills

Experience working in schools and student health is an advantage.

Scope and Start Date

• Employment rate: 20% with seasonal employment
• Start date: by agreement
• 6 months probationary period, followed by permanent employment
